BASEBALL/SOFTBALL INFORMATION SHEET

Baseball

T-ball (4-6)     - will play on Tuesday and Thursday at either Essex or Sussex Elementary or Moffit

Clinic 6-8        - will play on Tuesday and Thursday at either Essex or Sussex Elementary or Moffit

Minor 9-10     - will play on Monday and Wednesday at either Essex or Sussex Elementary or Moffit

Major 11-12    - will play on Monday and Wednesday at either Essex or Sussex Elementary or Moffit

Pony 13-15     - will play on Tuesday and Thursday at Sussex Elementary, Moffit or Kenwood HS

15-19              - will play Monday, Wednesday and Friday at various fields

****there is always the possibility of a Friday game for all age groups****

Travel 7-8       - will play Sundays at 3 p.m.

Travel 9-10     - will play Saturday or Sunday around noon

Travel 11-12   - will play Sunday at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.

Travel 13-14   - will play Saturday or Sunday at 1 p.m. or 3:30 pm

Softball

U6 (4-6)          - will play on Monday and Wednesday at either Essex or Sussex Elementary or Moffit

U10 (7-10)      - will play Tuesday and Thursday at Eastern Tech or Kenwood HS or Essex Elem.

U14 (11-13)    - will play on Monday and Wednesday at Eastern Tech or Kenwood HS or Essex Elem

U18 (14-18)    - will play on Tuesday and Thursday at Eastern Tech or Kenwood HS

ALL OF THE ABOVE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Inhouse - Your child’s manager will contact you about practices which will begin after April 1^st. There will be a drafting of the all baseball and softball teams. In preparation for the draft, there is a mandatory rating on March 21st (see flyer). Practices will run from April 1^st to April 25^th. We will have our exhibition games from Apri1 19th to April 23rd with Opening Day on Sunday, April 25th. The regular season will run from April 26th to July 10th.

The inhouse tournament will actually start on or about June 14th with the final tournament games on or about July 1st. Please remember that these dates could change due to rain and other unexpected changes. Please plan your vacation around these dates as it is important that all of the boys/girls play in the tournament.

The final activity will be the Allstar/Trophy day which will take place on Sunday, July 11th at Essex Elementary from 11 am to 6 pm. Times to be assigned later. Trophies will be given out on that day.

Travel: We offer travel softball and baseball to all players between the ages of 7 and 19 under the Essex Express name. We know that travel is extra ball for those who want to play more competitive ball. A travel team is determined by a Atryout@ process, as not everyone who tries out will make the team. Travel runs from April 1^st to approximately mid-July. There is an additional charge for travel.
